Bouldering safety

It’s normal to wonder whether bouldering is a safe sport. Although no harnesses are used, the walls are lower (15 feet maximum) and the mats are very thick. The environment is designed to prevent any type of injury.

If you’re new to bouldering, our staff will be happy to provide you with free training to show you how to climb safely. You’ll learn how to descend and fall onto the mats, the main climbing moves, a few basics for warming up, and the rules to follow for safe climbing. For any additional questions, see our FAQ section.

Why do I need to sign a release form?

Every climber must sign a release form. One of the reasons you need to sign a release form is to make you accountable for the risks associated with bouldering. It’s important to respect the climbing gym’s rules at all times. The release form for climbers under the age of 18 must be signed by a parent or guardian.
